What's the catch with the two free days of daycare?
There is no catch. Every new doggy client gets two free days of daycare for a single dog with no additional purchase required. We want you and your dog to be comfortable with us, and a risk-free trial is the best way to make sure we are the right fit.
Do you offer tours of the facility?
Yes. We offer tours during business hours, but it's best to contact us first since seeing strangers can be over-stimulating for the dogs. Tours of the play areas are kept brief, and we can rarely accommodate drop-in tours on Fridays and Saturdays.
Do you split up dogs by size?
Yes. We run a "small side" (typically dogs under 40 lbs, plus older or lower-energy dogs) and a "big side" (typically dogs over 40 lbs, often higher-energy adolescents). Crossover happens when a larger dog plays appropriately with smaller dogs, and vice versa. Larger dogs on the small side are vetted carefully.
Are daycare passes refundable? Do they expire?
All daycare passes are refundable for any unused days at any time. Passes never expire. They are transferable to another dog or another client. There are no maintenance fees of any kind. If you buy a 20-day pass, use one day, and want the other 19 refunded two years later, we'll do it.
Do you have breed restrictions?
No. We do not have breed restrictions. Every dog is evaluated as an individual on their evaluation day, regardless of breed.
Why do you require dogs to be spayed or neutered at six months?
Our requirement is purely behavioral, not medical. We're aware of the medical reasons your vet may recommend waiting longer for some breeds, and we respect that decision, but intact dogs over six months can change the dynamic of group play, which is why we set the policy where we do.
Do dogs ever fight at daycare?
Fights are rare but do happen, they are an unavoidable part of group dog environments. Our staff focuses on de-escalation and prevention. When something does happen, we separate the dogs immediately, place them in a time-out area, and check thoroughly for injuries. Dogs showing repeated aggressive behavior are asked not to return.
Do you offer early drop-off or late pick-up?
No. If your dog isn't picked up by the time we close, they will be fed and boarded overnight at the standard boarding rate. We do not offer drop-offs outside of regular business hours. Everyone's time is valuable, and we stand by our fair-but-firm policies.
Are you a traditional dog kennel?
Not in the old-school sense. Traditional dog kennels keep dogs in a run all day, with a couple of short potty breaks. We do dog boarding plus full-day doggy daycare, which means boarders join the daycare program for 6+ hours of supervised group play each day and only sleep in their kennel overnight. So we're a dog boarding kennel, but the experience is closer to a sleepover camp than a kennel.
